Arvind Gaur, head of the Delhi, based Theatre group ASMITA, did his engineering. However after trying his luck as a store keeper and an tuition teacher realized that his calling was into theater. He started of as a theatre actor and learnt from his directors and colleagues. Eventually started his theatre groupsts himself, His plays revolve around socially relevant issues like communal violence. Mr. Arvind Gaur, through his plays has actively tried to spread awareness on relevant, however ignored, issues.
He believes that to become a good actor, one needs to be socially and politically aware. He is strong believer of serving ones society. In Delhi, through his theatre, he .lent voice to the displaced laborers in Delhi. At the end, Arvind Gaur, says that one needs to be attached to one’s roots for being successful in theatre.
